Johannesburg City Hall

"The Johannesburg City Hall is a colonial architectural jewel in the heart of the city. It boasts a beautiful pipe organ which, until a few years ago, was the largest one in the southern hemisphere. After implementing a charter of cultural heritage in the inner city, the council has refurbished the city hall to accommodate music events and meetings. This is a wonderful symbol of a city that has come alive again." - ref, nileguide.com

I used to work in the Johannesburg Public Library just opposite the city hall. I feel all nostalgic now. Thanks for a great blog - I still have a soft spot for Jozi. The people there are the best!
